A new friend

Fabio was very happy. Finally, his parents had agreed to give him a dog, which he had been asking for a long time.

Animals become a member of the family, and they need a lot of care, affection and attention. Now, Fabio was older and could take good care of a puppy.

The dog from the neighbor's house had five beautiful puppies and the children of the street came to visit them every day. Fabio was the most excited of them.

He loved watching the puppies breastfeeding and sleeping together. As the days went by, they grew up, learned to walk and started to play with each other.

The boy watched them so much that he already knew each one of them. There was one who was slyer and kept calling his mother. Another one was fatter, as he was always breastfeeding. Another one was very smart and raised his head to look at Fabio as soon as he arrived.

The boy started to like this smart puppy very much. He was black, with smooth, soft fur. He didn't have one of his back legs, but he still managed to run after Fabio, trying to play biting his pants.

It was easy for the boy to choose which of the puppies would be his new friend, as he soon became attached to the smart puppy, who also seemed to like him.

Fabio had to wait several weeks before he could take his puppy home. He needed to stay with his mother to breastfeed and grow up healthy.

One day, when Fabio arrived at the neighbor's house, she said that, under the veterinarian's guidance, the puppies could already be weaned and he could take his puppy home.

Fabio was thrilled.

He took his puppy on his lap, lovingly, and spoke to him:

- Shall we go home, little friend? I'll take good care of you, ok?

The puppy licked Fabio's hand and the two went together.

Fabio called his new friend of Milu and took care of him with affection. Milu grew up healthy and happy. The two became inseparable. When it was time for Fabio to arrive home from school, Milu was already on the gate to wait for him and celebrated when Fabio entered.

They played together a lot. Fabio threw the ball and Milu brought it back and jumped to eat the snacks that Fabio threw at him.

Milu was smart and obedient. Fabio started to train him, and he learned fast. Paw, sit, bring the ball and more. Milu wagged his tail happily and the boy was very proud of his dog friend.

When the times Milu became ill, Fabio even didn´t want to go to school, as not to leave him alone. When the boy became ill, Milu tried to cheer him up with licks and affection and lay beside the bed, expecting Fabio to get up.

Fabio and Milu were great companions. They had fun together and enjoyed each other very much.

Milu didn't have a leg, but that never made a difference to Fabio. The important thing is that they were friends and they were both very happy to have each other.
