Theme: Respect; good manners

Hi son, do you want to talk?

During lunch, Osvaldo and Miriam were surprised, because their son seemed distant and worried. The boy, however, said it was okay.

When his father returned from work, he realized that Junior was still the same way, and went to find out what was going on.

- Hi son, do you want to talk?

- Something annoying happened today. A pregnant woman got on the bus, and a man told us to give her the seat. Pedro said he arrived first and was not going to get up. Marcos said he had a father and no one else gave him an order.

- And you, answered what? Asked the father.

- I asked him why he didn't get up and give the place, then he stood up and we saw that he, in addition to being elderly, had an injured leg and used a cane. He said that we were rude and didn't know how to respect others. He also said that he was going to school to talk to the principal about our attitudes.

A new silence was made, before the father spoke:

- Son, you need to agree that your answers were not polite... Furthermore, during pregnancy, the woman is weakened, because her body undergoes major changes. If she falls during a rapid movement of the bus, in addition to being injured, it can hurt the baby.

And the father continued:

- Younger people have more balance and strength than the elderly and pregnant women, so we should give them the seat. Don't wait for someone to ask you, do it on your own. Put yourself in the other's shoes, feel their difficulties and be happy to help.

- Dad, if he tells the principal, she'll get me off of the football team. Talk to the principal, father? - Junior was worried.

- Son, I think it’s better if you and your colleagues talk with her. Explain that you have understood your mistake and will change your attitude. And if any of you stay out of the team for a while, you are just suffering the consequences of your own actions. It is important to learn the lesson and not repeat the mistake. Respecting others is also doing to others what we would like others to do to us, remember this rule?

Junior nodded and Osvaldo wrapped his son in a loving embrace, making the boy understand his father's firm and loving attitude. The son knows that the father is right. He also knows that he can always count on his guidance, support and affection.
