Letter to the reader

Year 13 - 648 – December 8, 2019

The stages of family life were the subject of the Family Seminar promoted by AME Brasil

At the end of November in Maceió, capital of Alagoas, the II Family Seminar organized by the Medical-Spiritist Association of Brazil was held.  All stages of family life were addressed from children’s needs, love relationships and the acceptance of a healthy intermediate and late adult life. In an interview with journalist Giovana Campos, Dr. Marcia Leon, a member of the AME Brazil Family Department, told us about the subject. “The family,” she says, “represents our first essays within the experience of universal love toward the Creator”. The interview is one of the highlights of this issue.

Another highlight is the interview given to us by Dalva Aparecida Alves Ferreira, from Gaul (SP). Spiritist since 1994, she participates in the activities of the Spiritist Center Disciples of Jesus, where she currently holds the position of secretary of the Executive Board. Lecturer and student of the Spiritist Doctrine, she tells us in the interview about the fundamental principles of Spiritism and their importance in the lives of us all.

Leonardo Marmo Moreira is the author of the Special Article entitled Politics and Spiritism, in which he acknowledges that the Brazilian Spiritist movement is experiencing a moment of great agitation and makes considerations about the consequences of the introduction of partisan political discussions in the environment of Spiritist institutions, which – in face of the Spiritist teachings – he does not view very favorably. The article is one of the highlights of this edition.
