The disincarnation of Fifi

The family had just eaten lunch. Mr. Cristiano was getting ready to go back to work and Mrs. Roberta was cleaning the kitchen when they heard Amanda screaming in distress:

Fifi is dead!

The parents ran to her and hugged their daughter that was crying beside the cat.

In fact, Fifi had disincarnated.

When Amanda was born, Fifi was already in the family. The couple loved cats and adopted her as a puppy as soon as they got married.

Fifi was cute and very docile. Amanda used to pick her up playing with her like she was her daughter. Many times Fifi was quiet, she accepted to participate in the girl's inventions. She was in the doll cart and wrapped around the blanket. Sometimes she didn’t want to know anything. Fifi used to hide or climb over the wardrobe.

Fifi knew the time Amanda´s returned from school and kept waiting for her at the door. They were great companions.

However, in recent times Fifi did not accept many more plays. She spent most of the day lying down. She moved slowly, always looking tired.

Amanda was already nine, an active and healthy child. Fifi was old enough to be a young woman, if she were human but as a cat she was already very old.

Dona Roberta explained to Amanda and she understood the situation. Then, she used to take more care of the kitten.

The girl realized that she did not clean herself any more, as she used to. Her hair was ugly and creepy. And she didn’t see very well either.

They took Fifi to the vet but there was nothing to be done. She had several usual problems for her age. She needed care and affection.

Amanda pleased her kitten, covered her before bed, did everything she could.

A few days ago she didn’t want to eat anymore and her mother and the girl put water and food in her mouth.

Mrs. Roberta talked with the daughter about the cycle of life. She explained that God gives us blessed opportunities in every incarnation and the bonds of love, even with animals, do not dissolve with disincarnation because we are immortal spirits. The fact that we leave the physical body does not change our essence, our feelings.

They all already knew that the disincarnation of Fifi was near. Even so, the three of them, seeing the kitten standing still, cried together in a mixed feeling of longing, love and gratitude.

Amanda spent the afternoon feeling sad, missing Fifi and at night, lying down to sleep, prayed to God for her cat.

It was then she saw a young man with a very bright luminous outfit smiling at her. He had Fifi on his lap. She was calm and did not look dead. It seemed she was sleeping and purring, comfortable in his lap.

He did not speak with words he continued smiling but she heard it as if it were his voice inside her head saying:

- Don’t worry! I'll take good care of her. Soon you will be together again.

Behind him a space opened up where he took Fifi and Amanda saw that it was a very beautiful bright grassy place full of plants.

In a few seconds, everything disappeared.

Amanda ran into the living room and told her parents what had happened. She was not sure if she had seen all this whether she had dreamed or even imagined.

They talked to her and explained that everything she saw could actually have happened, as in the material world, there are people who like animals in the spirit world as well. They are the good spirits who work there, taking care of the animals and helping them to evolve.

When Amanda returned to her bed, she felt much calmer. Her heart was at peace with the feeling that everything was fine.
