Allan Kardec, mankind benefactor

The Especial theme, which illustrates this number issue authored by the confrere Cláudio Bueno da Silva, one of this magazine’s writers is the person Allan Kardec, the encoder of the spirit doctrine to whom the author attributes the epithet "modesty incarnate". With all the qualities of a good man and considering the greatness of his work on Earth - says Cláudio Bueno - Allan Kardec should be seen as a benefactor of humanity and, of course, no one will ever regret to study his works with goodwill, without any prejudice and with an effective disposition to grow as a person. The article is one of the highlights of this edition.

The psychologist Layrton Alves Vargas, living in the city of Rio de Janeiro, where he was born, is our interviewee today. Umbandista for thirty years, Layrton became a spirit ten years ago and, as spirit, participates in the House of Frei Fabiano and the Social House of Cáritas, both in the Méier neighbourhood, of which he is the founder and current president. He is also coordinator of the activities at the Spirit Regeneration Group Surgery Room, located in the Maracanã Neighbourhood, Rio de Janeiro, with Dr. Frederick Von Stein.

On September 13 and 14, the spirits of Asunción, Paraguay, were honoured with the presence of the mediums and orators Divaldo Franco, from Brazil, and Juan Danilo Rodríguez, from Ecuador, now living in Salvador (BA). The meeting was organized by the Paraguayan Spirit Center "Joanna de Ângelis" and aimed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Divaldo Franco's first visit to the neighbouring country.
