Speaker and scholar spirit Luiz Fuchs speaks to the magazine

“What should we do when facing a serious illness?" Is the title of our editorial which comments considerations that Eleni Frangatos has done in the Especial of this edition, which by the way the theme medical and spiritual treatment.

Luiz Fuchs, born in São Paulo where he lives is our interviewee. Spirit since he was born and graduated in History, he participates in a group pf workers in the Batuíra Spirit Group, where he acts as a speaker as well. In the interview, he talks about many historical aspects of Spiritism presence in our society.

In the published Especial in this number, Eleni Frangatos brings an important question: facing a serious illness, what kind of treatment should be chosen? In the article, she tells considerations about medical and spiritual treatment, standing up the thesis that there is no inconsistency between them.

The research headed by Ivan Franzolim and ended in July/2017 endorses the tendencies presented in Censo-IBGE 2010 about Brazilian spirit movement. One of research result indicates that spirit message is not reaching the public of “D” and “E” classes. The report is one of the spots of the current edition.

The day before yesterday, October 27th, it has been 80 years of an unfortunate fact from dictatorship, in which, the eve of the implementation of New State in our country, in the year 1937, the FEB – Brazilian Spirit Federation places were closed by the police. The decision was revoked three days later by Dr. Macedo Soares, then Minister of Justice.
